The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has Operated a Law Enforcement Rescue Helicopter (H-1) for decades. Among other specialties such as BLS medical care and Law Enforcement, H-1 is well known for their long line rescues. Students will be oriented to the Bell 407 GXP Helicopter, the crew and their training, and the overall capabilities and service area. H-1 will then do a Long Line Rescue or “pick” of several students from the class.
