CAL Fire now operates the same Helicopter Airframe as the Blackhawk, but equipped with Water Drop capabilities. Students will be oriented to the capabilities of the Firehawk and Crew, including level of medical care, hoist rescues and Water Drop Capabilities. Students will then call in a “Spot Drop”, where the Firehawk crew will demonstrate the process of being called in for an actual water drop on a spot fire.
